Privacy Policy

The short version

  • No account. Soulfeed has no sign-up, no login and no user profile.
  • No server. We do not run a server for the app. The library is built into the app and works offline.
  • No tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • Your data stays yours. Saves, notes and reading progress are stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud storage. We cannot see or access any of it.
  • Payments go through Apple. We never receive your card or payment details.

Who we are

Soulfeed: Spiritual Teachings (“Soulfeed”, “the app”) and getsoulfeed.com are provided by Trippy Cosmos Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, company number [PLACEHOLDER: company number], registered office [PLACEHOLDER: registered office address]. Data in the app

To work, the app keeps the following on your iPhone:

  • passages you like or save, and the private notes and reflections you write;
  • your reading progress, such as which passages you have read, the days you opened the app, and your reading plan progress;
  • the paths and answers you choose during onboarding (for example your reading goal, daily reading time, the topics you want help with and your reminder time), which are used only to shape your feed on your device;
  • your settings, such as text size, theme and whether original translations are shown.

This data is stored in the app’s private storage on your device, in a container shared only with the Soulfeed widget so the widget can show your daily passage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can erase it at any time with Settings › Reset progress in the app, or by deleting the app.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, the app also keeps a copy of the data above in Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, so that it follows you to a new iPhone or after a reinstall. This storage is tied to your Apple ID and can only be read by Soulfeed on your devices. We cannot access it. Apple stores it under the Apple Privacy Policy.

You can stop syncing by turning off iCloud for Soulfeed, or by signing out of iCloud, in your iPhone’s Settings. The app keeps working with data saved on that iPhone only. Using Reset progress in the app while sync is on clears your progress on this iPhone and in iCloud.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a daily reminder at the time you choose and, if you ask for it, a reminder before a free trial ends. These are local notifications created on your iPhone. We do not use push notification servers and we do not receive any device token. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your iPhone’s Settings at any time.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple’s StoreKit. Apple handles your payment details; we never see them. The app checks with Apple on your device whether you have an active subscription so it can unlock premium features. Apple’s handling of purchase data is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Information we may receive from Apple

Like every App Store developer, we can see aggregated reports from Apple in App Store Connect, such as the number of downloads, sales and subscriptions by country. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may also give us aggregated usage and crash information. These reports do not identify you, and we do not try to identify anyone from them.

Sharing passages

When you share a passage as text or as an image, iOS opens the standard share sheet and you choose where it goes. We do not see what you share or who you share it with.

This website

getsoulfeed.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Vercel’s Privacy Policy. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Contacting support

We use it only to reply and help you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in supporting our users, and we keep it only as long as needed to resolve your request. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Because the app does not send your data to us, we usually hold nothing about you beyond any emails you have sent. Your in-app data is under your control: you can view it in the app, erase it with Reset progress, and manage the iCloud copy through your Apple ID.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to help first.

Children

Soulfeed is a general-audience reading app and is not directed at children. The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children, and has no accounts, chat or social features. Security and retention

Data in the app is protected by your iPhone’s own security and, for the iCloud copy, by Apple’s iCloud security. We keep support emails only as long as needed to resolve your request. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Changes to this policy

If the way Soulfeed handles data changes, for example if a future version adds a feature that needs a server, we will update this policy before that change takes effect and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be described in the app’s release notes.
